Established in 1971, National Friends of Public Broadcasting is a vast network of public media volunteers and volunteer coordinators. As you explore the different pages on this site, you will see wonderful initiatives, events, campaigns, projects and more happening at public television and radio stations across the country -- all thanks to the support and hard work of station volunteers.
National Friends stands in support of Protect My Public Media, a collaboration of local public radio and television stations, national distributors, producers, viewers, listeners and others who support a strong public media in the United States. The goal of the campaign is to activate our audiences to support federal funding for public media by taking a stand for the local stations and programs they love. Keep checking back here for updates on how National Friends is supporting Protect My Public Media and learn how you can get involved by visiting the Protect My Public Media website.
If you are already a member of National Friends, I thank you for your support and I look forward to working with you on behalf of public media. If you have not joined yet, I hope the information you find on this site will inspire you to become a member or renew your membership in support of the efforts of National Friends of Public Broadcasting. We'd love to have you with us.
Sincerely,
Dorothy Pacella, National Friends of Public Broadcasting Chair
