On Tuesday, April 14th, 2015, Vegas PBS and the Volunteer Board from Southern Nevada Public Television celebrated the hard work and dedication of many of its volunteers with a delightful Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon.
Special entertainment was provided by "Las Vegas Headliner of the Year," Frankie Moreno.
Special "Distinguished Service" recognition was given to several dedicated volunteers who have been with Vegas PBS for at least 15 years. One volunteer, Dawn Lauritzen, was given special recognition for volunteering with Vegas PBS since 1987. Stan Anderson, another volunteer "star," was recognized for giving over 300 volunteer hours last year.
Each volunteer guest received a Vegas PBS goodie bag: Vegas PBS "Souper" Star ceramic soup bowl, Making the Difference Star keychain, Vegas PBS pen, gold wrapped chocolates stars and a PBS programming cookbook.
Congratulations to Vegas PBS for making their volunteers feel truly appreciated.
