National Friends of Public Broadcasting, established in 1970, is an organization whose purpose is to encourage and act as a resource for local volunteer groups that work on behalf of public broadcasting stations within their home communities. It seeks to assist in developing support at the local level, and through this to develop an informed constituency for public broadcasting that will serve both the station and the community.
Recognize the great work of your volunteer program with nominations for NFPB awards, and your development program with nominations for PBS awards -- the deadlines are just around the corner so don't procrastinate! |
