National Friends is proud to present BARBARA KELLAR of WCET in Cincinnati, Ohio, with the 2016 "Outstanding Volunteer Leadership Award" in television. She was nominated by Dan Virzi, WCET's Senior Manager of Membership and Donor relations.
Mrs. Kellar began her volunteer career with WCET in 1967 (nearly 50 years ago) when she participated in WCET's first "Action Auction" and she continues to be a part of this huge community-based fundraising event. In addition, Mrs. Kellar hosts two cultural and arts programs. For six years, she hosted "CET Express" that was web-based on-demand video program that featured informal interviews with leaders and artists in the greater Cincinnati region. |
Today, Mrs. Kellard celebrates her fourth season as host of "Showcase with Barbara Kellar," a 30-minute broadcast of CET Arts that was the nation's first 24/7 arts channel.
Additionally, Barbara volunteers much of her time with the Premier Circle Committee helping to secure major gifts for CET. She has graciously hosted many events in her historic home making everyone feel welcomed and appreciated. Barbara Kellar embodies the true spirit of philanthropy. CET is a better organization and the region is a better place to live because of her quiet and humble dedication, her vision and her leadership. Congratulations to Barbara Kellar of WCET. |
