2007 VOLUNTEERS IN FUNDRAISING AWARD
Presented to WGBY Wine & Dine Committee
October 3, 2007
Narrative from the Award Presentation
The WGBY Wine & Dine Committee represents creativity and effectiveness in the use of volunteers in fundraising.
The group being honored tonight is proficient not in only fundraising, but in "fun-raising!" They wine and dine Western Massachusetts and Connecticut!
Described as the engine of the very successful WGBY Wine & Dine Committee, James J. Holsing puts in untold hours months in advance of each event, helping to plan, solicit, schedule, price, write and anything else that needs to be done. He has served as Master of Ceremonies for over 25 years.
From planning, to soliciting, to scheduling and presenting, the Wine & Dine Committee does an extraordinary job. The task is daunting, but they carry on and raise approximately $100,000 each year while providing interesting and educational wine and food events.
NFPB "toasts" this year's fundraising honoree, the WGBY Wine & Dine Committee!
