1993 DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD
Presented to Frank Kotch
WGTE, Toledo, OH
Frank Kotch is a full time controller for a major industrial supplier, but still volunteers at WGTE. He is responsible for training and supervising the large group of volunteers needed for membership drives. This position was previously filled by a staff member.
His attention to detail and his aptitude for production enable him to operate as a teleprompter. This is another position previously held by staff. He has also served as Warehouse Chairman for the Auction. Frank often accompanies the Volunteer Coordinator to community events to promote public broadcasting.
Frank's commitment to public broadcasting is always evident in the manner in which he interacts with other volunteers. He is always mindful of their feelings and problems. He even has cooked for the WGTE volunteers. His commitment and involvement with WGTE far surpasses that which could be expected within the usual realm of volunteerism.
