Presented to Kit Clements
KIXE, Redding, California
After six years as an employee of KIXE, Kit left public television to continue in the broadcasting field as the coordinator for the local community access channel. Kit has consistently returned to KIXE over the pat five years whenever he was needed. His versatile skills make him an invaluable volunteer in the production department. He has worked as a production assistant , for local productions, floor director, camera operator and on-air host for membership drives. He has been a dynamic auctioneer raising thousands of dollars during KIXE auctions.
During the financial crisis in early 1991, many of the production staff were laid off. Kit provided staff and volunteers from the community access channel. Under his leadership, the needed production crew was trained and scheduled for the March membership drive. Kit was selected as a volunteer of the month in November, 1991.
Because of Kit's unselfish devotion to public broadcasting, he is deserving of this award.
